This month, I went through a lot of cheap stuff—mostly rubbish, although a few things were really good. It’s strange how a small item can suddenly slide into your daily life and stay there, even if you didn’t ask for it.
Bluetooth speakers that are small
It may look small, but it packs a punch. I brought it to a picnic, and the bass was so loud that everybody turned to look. It seemed like a great deal at about thirty bucks.
Charging pads that don’t need wires
This charger is just sitting next to me, quiet, dependable, and no fuss. Put your phone on it and leave the room. I wish life didn’t have so many problems like these.
LED Light Strips
These don’t cost much at all. Very bright colors. Can make a boring room feel warm and inviting. That night, I chose a soft pink hue. I quickly forgot how overwhelmed I was.
Small Smart Plugs
I plug in lamps to these things and then forget about them. Halfway through my day, miles away, the phone rings. Do you want to switch on the lights in the living room? Works well when I get home late.
Power Banks That Are Easy to Carry
I always have it with me. Kept me going once when my phone was down to 2% and I was on a train that was late. To be honest, you would think that tech companies would have corrected weak batteries by now, but here we are.
Cheap Fitness Bands
It doesn’t have any showy screens, but it does count steps, track sleep, and check your heart rate. If I sit still for too long, my device vibrates. Sometimes, I respond as if we’re coworkers.
Microphone for USB
Good for important calls. I tried a few that cost less than fifty dollars, and something strange happened each time. Sometimes, lower-cost models manage voice tone more naturally than high-end ones.
Phone Lenses That Clip On
They click on your lens in less than two seconds. I assumed everything would be clearer, but it was. I once took a close-up picture of a leaf’s microscopic lines that were so clear that it looked phony.
Small RGB Keyboards
The keys tap, and each stroke bounces off quickly. Watch how the glow spreads; it could suck you in. It seems ridiculous, but it makes typing seem less serious in some way.
Fans for Mini Desktops
I didn’t think I would like it at first. Then, summer came. Now it stays close to my screen and sends a small stream of air that keeps me awake when the hours drag on.
These devices don’t look very special. But they fit in into your daily life, fixing little problems you didn’t even know you had. I’m still trying new ones and eager for the next cheap delight to come in the mail.
